This safari is a discovery of the Kenyan central highlands of the Aberdare forest, Lake Nakuru, the main national park in the rift valley and the world renown national reserve, the Masai mara. The discovery expedition finally bring you to the famous fresh water lake Naivasha which was a landing place for flying boats of the Imperial Airways between 1937 and 1950 and the crescent Island which was featured in the Out of Africa film.

Safari Itinerary.

Day 1: Nairobi-Sweetwaters.
After breakfast at 7.30am, be picked up from the hotel heading northwards towards Mount Kenya, depending on the weather you may have a glimpse of mount Kenya from a distance. Arrive at Sweet waters tented camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the reserve, you will be able to see the chimpanzees in their sanctuary, buffalos, rhinos, zebras and many more. Back to the camp for  dinner and overnight..

Day 2: Sweetwaters-The Treetops Lodge in Aberdares.
After breakfast, set off for Aberdare National Park, the park is well known for its unique vegetation, arrival at the park will be in time for lunch which will be taken at the outspan hotel, base hotel for treetops. Afternoon will be spent watching wild life at the flood lit Saltlick Water hole. Dinner and overnight at Treetops lodge which is structured on the top of the tree as the name suggests.

Day 3: The Treetops Lodge-Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast and head to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge/camp. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in lake Nakuru national park, the outing will take you to the shores of the lake where disembark from  your vans and admire the bird life which includes flamingos and other game like rhinos and buffalos. Embark on your vans and continue in search of other game like giraffes, lions and the elusive leopard. Back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Game Reserve
After breakfast, embark on your vans for a brief game drive towards the exit of Lake Nakuru national park and head to masai mara through the great Rift Valley with magnificent views at a strategic view point. Arrive in masai mara in time for lunch at the lodge/camp followed by an afternoon game drive, back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Game Reserve
Breakfast at the lodge/camp then proceed for a full day game drive in masai mara with picnic lunch at an ideal location in the reserve. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Mara-Lake Naivasha National Park
After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha in the rift valley and arrive in time for lunch at the camp/lodge. Afternoon free at the lodge/camp. Lake Naivasha is known for its bird life and the crescent island animal sanctuary where you can walk in the midst of giraffes, zebras, impalas and wild beasts as you enjoy the cool fresh air blowing from the lake. The boat ride on the lake and the walk on the island is optional. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp

Day 7: Lake Naivasha-Nairobi
Breakfast at the lodge/camp then proceed to Hell’s gate National park where you can hire bicycles and ride through the park as you watch the animals in their natural habitat. Leave the park and drive down to Nairobi airport for flight back home or to be left in Nairobi where your safari ends with sweet memories.
